Warehouse Officer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are currently responding to the high influx of refugees and migrants through Croatia. We are active in Opatovac transit camp and will soon be moving our activities to the new location at Slavonski Brod.

We are looking for a warehouse Officer to be based in Slavonski Brod, with the following experience:

• Croatian working permit. Ability to relocate within the country if required.
• Good written and spoken English
• At least 1 year experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain and asset management.
• Solid knowledge and experience of storekeeping techniques, including basic administration.
• Extensive experience and knowledge in ensuring systems are in place and appropriate tools and reporting formats are developed. Good planning skills with ability to take initiative
• Well-developed interpersonal, communication and team skills and proven ability to be flexible in demanding situations

As a warehouse Officer, your responsibilities will include:

Storage of goods

• Ensure that all goods in the warehouse are stacked efficiently with maximum possible consideration given to the preservation of goods and reduction of losses.
• Pay special attention to the safety of warehouse materials and the warehouse itself, storing hazardous materials separately. Manager the keys of the warehouses allowing no unauthorized access.
• Separating materials intelligently, such as keeping Non Food Items away from toxic chemicals and flammable materials away from matches.

Supply Chain

• Implement and maintain Save the Children standard warehousing Policy and standards, with records kept for a full audit trail standard under both SCI and donor regulations.
• Ensure that the stock report is kept up-to-date and that stock counts are conducted at least twice per week.
• Be the focal person in receiving all goods. Check all deliveries of goods for quality/quantity, and record details on Goods Received forms. Make sure no items are dispatched without the proper authorization.
• Monitor levels of stock for commonly used items and alert the Logistics Manager to organize procurement for replenishment before stock rupture occurs.

Asset management

• Cooperate with relevant departments and use standard tracking methods to monitor the movement/changes of any assets and ensure proper control/handling of equipment at all times
• Be the focal person for maintenance and repairs of assets
