Logistics Assistant
DPP, together with Save the Children, are looking for a Logistics Assistant to join our team as we continue to respond to the high influx of refugees and migrants. We are active in Opatovac transit camp and will soon be moving our activities to the new location at Slavonski Brod.
We are looking for a Logistics Assistant, to be based in Slavonski Brod, who has the following skills:
- Experience in logistics with other NGO or Private Organization is preferred
- Ability to work simultaneously with multiple tasks
- Willingness and ability to work efficiently with a wide diverse group of people
- Working ability with tight deadlines and in a fast growing program environment
- Having moderate to good English for communication with other non-national staff.
- Computer literate and strong organizational skills
- Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches
- Provision of own vehicle for use during office hours.
As a Logistics Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Logistics Responsibilities
- Co-ordination and dispatch of vehicles during office hours and to act as a driver when required.
- Support the program and office teams with logistics activities and assist procurement officer
- Ensure that the logistics chain is in place and monitored regularly.
- Assist warehouse staff with receipt and dispatch of goods from main warehouse.
- Ensure proper documentation is obtained for all logistics processes.
Collaboration and Representation
- Work closely with programs, procurement and finance teams
