We received several awards:
- "Charta Rabuziana" 1993 by the Society for the Advancement of Life, Zagreb
- "Award for Nonviolence" 1995 from the Swedish branch of the International Fellowship of Reconciliation
- In 1997, the European Movement Croatia awarded the "European Circle" award to Dr. Katarina Kruhonja "for extraordinary merits in the affirmation of European values in Croatia and the homeland in the world in the field of affirmation of human rights"
- "Right Livelihood Award" 1998 – The "Alternative Nobel Peace Prize" was shared by Katarina Kruhonja and the Center for Peace with Vesna Teršelič and the Croatian Anti-War Campaign
- n December 2, 1999, the City Council of the City of Osijek awarded the "Seal of the City of Osijek" to Dr. Katarina Kruhonja "for a significant contribution to the promotion of peace, democracy and civil rights"
- Award "Cross of Nails" 2000 – from the Community for Reconciliation, UK
"Žuti okvir", 2021
The Centre for Peace, Nonviolence and Human Rights Osijek is the winner of the prestigious "Žuti ovir" Award 2021 awarded by National Geographic Croatia.
The award is given to individuals, teams, companies and institutions that contribute the most to sustainability in Croatia and who have significantly contributed to one of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, without which there is no future for the planet and the future of the generation. We received the award for our contribution to goal 16 Peace and Justice/Strong Institutions.
