We held the first meeting as part of the Social Mentoring for the Roma Community of Baranja project!
This project aims to improve the quality of life of members of the Roma national minority and encourage their better integration into the local community.
What does the project include?
- Individual support through social mentoring - providing counseling at the Roma Cultural Center Darda and CPO
- Workshops for children and youth (7-25 years old) - personal development, strengthening social skills and a sense of belonging through sports activities at the FC Roma Darda
- Education on human rights and recognizing (online) hate speech - through workshops and an innovative mobile game against hate speech
Why are we doing this?
Roma people often face challenges such as poverty, unemployment and social exclusion. Through this project, we provide an opportunity for the development of their competences, easier access to the labor market and equal participation in the community.
Together, we build an inclusive and solidary society!
The project is financed by the Office for Human Rights and Rights of National Minorities of the Republic of Croatia
