Held a lecture on the topic: Work for the common good without compensation and recording on real estate" to the users of the guaranteed minimum benefit

In order to increase the efficiency and awareness of the users of the guaranteed minimum benefit, the lecturers covered issues such as the very concept of work for the common good without compensation, the issue of work ability, partial work ability, notes on the real estate of users of the guaranteed minimum benefit, as well as other important issues that related to the above topics, and are regulated by the Social Welfare Act in the Republic of Croatia.

Special emphasis is placed on the obligation to conclude a contract between the employer and the beneficiary of the GMB, which would regulate the rights and obligations of the beneficiary of the minimum monetary compensation as well as the duration of work for the common good without compensation. It was emphasized that as beneficiaries of the GMB, they are obliged to respond to the call to work for the common good, because otherwise they will lose their right to the GMB. Also, we emphasized the recording on the real estate of the beneficiary of the guaranteed minimum benefit, and the fact that as of July 1, 2023, the recording on the real estate of the beneficiary of the guaranteed minimum benefit was abolished.

After the lecture, there were numerous questions from the participants regarding the specific problems they face, related to the above mentioned topics.

The questions were mainly whether all beneficiaries of the guaranteed minimum benefit are required to respond to calls for community service without compensation. The questions were also related to the situation of what will happen if they do not respond, i.e. do they really lose their right to the GMB, or do they just want to scare them. Also, one question was related to age, i.e. up to how many years the beneficiary of the guaranteed minimum benefit can be called upon to work for the common good without compensation.
