We participated in a training intended for youth workers on the topic of online gender-based violence in Zagreb!

The training was coordinated by a member of the Croatian Youth Network Josipa Tukara Komljenović, with the support of Valentina Gambiroža Staković.  The training was held in the premises of the Human Rights House in Zagreb on February 18 and 19. 
 
The objectives of the training were focused on:
 
  1. Teaching youth workers the knowledge and skills to access OGBV (online gender-based violence;
  2. Building a safe and inclusive environment for participants to improve their mental health;  
  3. Increasing trust in institutions and encouraging reporting offenders;
  4. Promoting awareness of online safety;   developing the capacity of participants to support victims of OGBV;
  5. Promoting LGBTIQ+ inclusivity and non-discrimination;  
  6. Providing tools to identify and address mental health problems in young people.

 

This training is part of the Erasmus+ project called "MEDUSA Empowering young people and youth workers to recognize and respond to cyberbullying by overcoming gender stereotypes" implemented in Croatia, Italy and Slovenia. The goal of the project is to empower young people and youth workers to recognize and adequately respond to cyber violence.
