With the support of the assistant from the Department of Criminal Justice Sciences, Ivan Vidaković, we held two workshops at the Faculty of Law in Osijek, while the third was in Vukovar.
Along with the presentation of the project itself, we had the opportunity to share our latest report: "Analysis of case law, statistical data and legislative framework for the member states of the consortium: Croatia, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Greece and Poland".
The main topic of the workshop was the legal perspective of the (excessive) use of pretrial detention. We presented as many as five cases of application of alternative methods of pretrial detention, including four cases of the European Court of Human Rights and one national case.
Thanks to everyone who participated and contributed to this important discussion!
We continue to work towards a fairer and more efficient judicial system.
