The project „Reducing the Excessive usage of pre-triaLdEtention via hArmonisation & Support to altErnatives“ („RELEASE“) lasts from October 1, 2022 until September 30, 2024, focusing on human rights and justice.

We discussed the implementation of the European supervision order, and the interactive workshop brought together representatives of partner countries, prosecutors, judges, lawyers and jurists who discussed the legal framework and alternative measures of pretrial detention.

Given that the end of the project is approaching, we are also finalizing the project results - a political summary and a manual with recommendations and good practices for decision makers that will be useful for further education of legal experts.
𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 aims to support the judiciary in EU member states, especially in Eastern Europe, to improve cooperation between competent authorities regarding the application of alternative methods to pretrial detention. Our efforts are focused on identifying best practices and working methods and facilitating the establishment of mutual trust between partners.
