We invite judges, lawyers, state attorneys and legal experts to apply for participation in the International Seminar to be held in Bratislava on April 25, 2024.
From October 1, 2022, the Center for Peace, Nonviolence and Human Rights - Osijek, in cooperation with the Law and Internet Foundation (Sofia, Bulgaria), Adam Mickiewicz University (Poznan, Poland), the Center for Security Studies KEMEA (Athens, Greece ), the Slovak National Center for Human Rights (Slovakia) and the Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights (Athens, Greece), is implementing the two-year project "RELEASE", which is financed through the funds of the European Union (Justice Program JUST).
The RELEASE project is aimed at providing support to the judiciary (including judges, investigating judges, state attorneys, lawyers and other legal experts) in the implementation of pre-trial detention in EU member states, especially in Eastern Europe, in order to establish a common approach and cooperation between competent authorities in that area. Therefore, highlighting specific and relevant EU instruments and showing their practical benefits, the project aims to empower and inform participants from the target groups, for a more consistent and effective implementation of these legal instruments at least in partner countries.
During the International Seminar in Bratislava, participants will have the opportunity to continue the debate and discussions from the national workshops, and exchange experiences with experts from other member states, expand networks from national to international level and exchange good practices with each other in order to improve the overall decision-making process.
