On 9 June 2026, the travelling exhibition “Behind the Front Lines: The Invisible Heroines” was opened at the Požega Public Library.

The opening of the final stop of the travelling exhibition “Behind the Front Line: Invisible Heroines”, organized by the Centre for Peace, Nonviolence and Human Rights Osijek, was held at the Požega Public Library.

Through personal testimonies of women from Eastern Slavonia, Ukraine, and Palestine, the exhibition presents stories of war, resilience, and everyday struggles that often remain overlooked. Their voices remind us of the importance of understanding, solidarity, and preserving human dignity in the most difficult circumstances.

We would like to thank everyone who attended the opening, as well as all partners and participants who contributed to making this exhibition possible. Special thanks go to the women who courageously shared their stories and to the British Council for supporting the project.

The exhibition can be visited at the Požega Public Library until 12 June 2026.

This is also the final exhibition of the project’s travelling programme, and we invite everyone interested to take this opportunity to learn about the stories of women whose experiences deserve to be seen, heard, and remembered.
