For the fourth year in a row, the EITA has been awarded to exceptional projects and teaching practices within the Erasmus+ program. The Center for Peace, Nonviolence, and Human Rights—Osijek, as the coordinator of the BeWEEN project, worked on improving the digital competences of students and teachers.

We are proud to share that our project "Be well and green when digital—BeWEEN" has been recognized in the secondary education category within the Erasmus+ program.

The Erasmus+ National Agencies participate in shaping the initiative with their ideas and proposals and decide which projects deserve the award.

This year's theme is "Wellbeing in School," which emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach to promoting the mental and physical health of students and teachers, and we are honored to be recognized through our work on a project that focused on preserving the well-being of the mental and physical health of teachers and students, as well as preventing the negative impact of digital technologies on overall health.

The project consortium achieved the following:

- created the curriculum and BeWEEN training
- trained almost 100 teachers from Croatia, Greece, Austria, and Cyprus through the BeWEEN training, which consists of two modules: 1. Health and Well-being and 2. Environmental Protection
- teachers co-created teaching materials available in four languages
- developed the educational mobile game BeWEEN, available on Google Play

Content and resources are freely available on the official project website, www.beween.eu.

Natalija Havelka, Executive Director of the Center for Peace - Osijek, presented the project results by participating in the panel: Exploring the EITA subtopic ‘Empowerment of learners’. The ceremony held on November 15th was attended by over 100 participants from 24 EU countries, and the award was presented by PIA Arhenkilde Hansen, Director of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport, and Culture.
