Centre for Peace, Non-Violence and Human Rights Osijek has been active in the promotion of peace, protection of human rights and non-formal education for 32 years, and their project BeWEEN, aimed at strengthening the competence of teachers and students in the responsible use of digital technology, is deservedly awarded the fruit of their work. Through a hybrid approach, which included online and physical activities, the project developed innovative practices for the safe use of technology and created curriculum and tools to reduce health and environmental risks.

Through workshops, teachers improved their digital skills, while students learned about the safe use of technology, including the use of a mobile game that encouraged them to adopt healthy digital habits. The project involved teachers and students across Europe, creating a collaborative network with the aim of raising awareness of the impact of digital technology on the environment and mental health.

The goals of the BeWEEN project are to build capacity for a healthier and more responsible use of digital technologies, as well as the development of digital competencies and the promotion of "smart habits" among high school students.

We would like to thank the European Commission and the Agency for Mobility and EU Programs for recognizing our contribution to non-formal education, as well as our partners: University of Vienna, the National Technical University of Athens, Future Needs, Center for Technical Culture Rijeka, and all the teachers and students who participated and gave their contribution to this project. Many thanks to everyone who follows our work and supports us!
