Nominate for peacemaking efforts in Croatia and the Western Balkans!
Nominations are accepted from September 5 to November 5, 2025!

Natural and legal persons can nominate. It is necessary to fill out the online application form with written recommendations. The "Krunoslav Sukić" Award and Accolade are intended for individuals, organizations and institutions for their special contribution to the protection and promotion of human rights and freedoms and the consistent promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence in Croatia and its surroundings. It also includes initiatives from the Western Balkan countries that have an impact on peacebuilding in the Republic of Croatia.

  • "Krunoslav Sukić" Peace Award for the promotion of peacemaking, non-violence and human rights 
The award consists of a plaque-letter of appreciation and a cash prize of 700 EUR.

The recognition consists of a plaque-letter of appreciation.
 
  • “Krunoslav Sukic” Book of the Year 2024/2025 Award

The award consists of a plaque - a letter of appreciation.

  • “Krunoslav Sukic” Peacebuilding School Award                                                                                     

The award consists of a plaque - a letter of appreciation and an educational and study visit for a group of students and teachers from the awarded school to Osijek and Vukovar.

Over the past seventeen years, the award has become a recognizable place of gathering, thanks, celebration and encouragement for peacemaking efforts in Croatia and the region. It has a national, regional and even international reach. Its reputation lies in the wealth of excellence and dedication of its winners. We present it as a “common ground”: the laureates differ in many ways and come from different social classes, groups and generations, but their common commitment to a peaceful society is.
