The basic idea of the project is innovative because it aims to initiate and enable:
- Research on the civilian contribution to peace building processes in eastern Croatia
- Contribution to recognition and recognition of this peace initiative as part of Croatia's positive historical experience - in 2019, the government of the Republic of Croatia established a memorial day - the Day of the Peaceful Reintegration of the Croatian Danube Region - which is celebrated every January 15; school textbooks are enriched with content on peaceful reintegration.
- To introduce the integration of peace themes into learning about the Homeland War, especially when mentioning our national symbol of destruction and resistance - Vukovar.
- To enrich the topic we are discussing as part of our study visit program of the Peacebuilding School.
