Project name: Between law and reality: Are we safe in the health system?
Project duration: 6 months (17.12. 2024 - 18.06. 2025)
The action for the defense of European values is focused on the protection of women's rights and the fight against discrimination, with an emphasis on the urgency of ensuring safe health services. Although there are clear obligations under national and international laws that protect human rights and prohibit discrimination, the challenge is in their implementation. Therefore, we focused on the protection of women victims of discrimination in the field of health care and safe access to public health services in the case of the Osijek Clinical Hospital Center and their failure to take any disciplinary measures against their employee-physician wrongfully convicted of criminal acts of rape and lewd acts.
AIM OF THE ACTION:
Ensure the responsibility of institutions and support for victims of discrimination
ACTIVITIES TO ACHIEVE THE GOAL:
1.Implementation of a legal analysis of the possibility of filing a lawsuit due to discrimination
2.Informing victims about the possibilities in court proceedings and the right to legal protection
3. Counseling support for victims
4. Informing the general public about the issue of the responsibility of institutions and the legal options of victims
